Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. The timer runs entirely in your browser; all data is stored locally (localStorage). Clearing your browser cache wipes the data — so export the CSV regularly.
Does the timer keep running if I close the tab?
Yes. We persist the start timestamp; when you re-open the tab the elapsed time is recomputed correctly.
Can I edit entries after the fact?
Yes. Every entry has an edit button — date, times, project and description are all editable.
How is this different from the full Toolio app?
